Position Overview The Accounting team is looking for a professional, bright, friendly, and team-oriented individual who is interested in an exciting and challenging position as our Cost Accountant. This position will develop standard inventory costs, develop and oversee cycle count processes over onsite and consigned inventory, perform variance analyses, assist in the preparation of the annual plan and analyze key business drivers for financial forecasts. Responsibilities
Analyze and monitor the costs of delivering our different product offerings
Create and maintain product BOMs; maintain periodic cost rolls/updates
Define policies and procedures for cost accounting and inventory activities including developing and overseeing a cycle count process
Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and cost of sales expense information for the Executive team as needed for decision making support
Track, analyze and report inventory valuations, ensure valued inventories have accurate quantities and are properly valued in accordance with GAAP
Prepare monthly COGS, PPV and Inventory reconciliations and journal entries along with related analysis on a monthly basis to identify potential discrepancies in account balances
Calculate any Inventory Reserve as appropriate
Provide schedules, support, and analytics for year-end financial audit
Proactively identify areas for improvements in product cost and work with cross-functional teams to review and implement action plans
Perform special projects, as required, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CMA, CPA or MBA a plus
Minimum of 5 years of solid Cost Accounting experience;
Experience working in a Healthcare/Medtech company a plus
Excellent analytical skills; solid understanding of accounting principles
