Sales Representative - Chicago

VitalConnect’s products are designed for use in a broad range of inpatient and outpatient settings, such as hospital monitoring, post discharge care, cardiac monitoring and pharmaceutical solutions.

Sales Representative
Responsible for achieving sales quota and developing strong customer champions and advocates in assigned strategic accounts. Initiates, maintains and expands relationships with strategic customers / organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel and decision makers in assigned customer accounts.
  • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Excels in selling current solution in complex health system team decision-making environment. Overcomes objectives that would stall or compromise booking.  Sells value to achieve pricing / margin goals.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Management.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of strategic sales experience in a hospital business sales environment.  Preferably in medical device industry.   
  • Medical device and/or patient monitoring experience and familiarity with global regulatory requirements a plus
  • Mobile and cloud technology familiarity
  • Relies on extensive judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Hardworking and able to effectively manage relationships and advance deals across dozens of prospects concurrently.
  • Must be able to develop good relationships at all levels of the organization including executives.
  • Must be creative and have the ability to handle all situations including client crisis easily and resolve to everyone's satisfaction
  • Proficient in advanced selling methods (which may include Challenger, Target Account Selling, Miller-Heiman's Strategic Selling, Value Selling Framework, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software
